Lanie’s Flower Pot Ice Cream Surprise

I was home alone and left with nothing to do this afternoon. After finishing the book I was reading, I decided to prepare a simple but cute surprise for hubby. I made some flower pot dessert. It is so fun and easy to make. It is also perfect for house parties especially for kids. 🙂

You need: 2015-03-01-16-39-15_deco

  • Ice cream
  • Mini flower pot(s)
  • Chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreo)
  • Plastic straw
  • Flower(s)
  • Pound cake (or bread)
  • Gummy worms (optional)
  • Stone chocolates (optional)
  • Flower marker (optional)

Wash and dry the flower pots. I recommend using new ones. I got mine from a thrift store and bought 3 for only a dollar. Place some plastic wrap at the bottom of the pots. Drop a piece of round bread to each pot, lightly pressing to make sure they are all the way down.

Hold a straw up against the side of a flowerpot and cut it a little shorter than the top. Stick each straw into the center of each pot, anchoring it into the bread.

Put your favorite ice cream into the pots, working it around the straw until it reaches the very tip top of the straw.  Clean up the top edges of the pot with a tissue. Then keep the pots inside the freezer until firm.

Crush the cookies in a food processor until they look like nice, rich topsoil.

Spoon the crushed cookies over the top. Add some gummy worms or stone chocolates if you like. Insert the flower inside the straw and serve immediately.

Chadaaaaan! Aren’t they lovely? Hehehe! 🙂

Here’s the final one for my prince charming.. 🙂

And I wrote a special message for him too.. ayeeee! 🙂

Try this very cute and unique dessert if you have time. For sure, your friends and loved ones will like it just like how my hubby felt so kilig when I handed him this awesome dessert. Ahahahaha! God bless everyone! 🙂
