Hello Kitty Cafe in Hongdae, Seoul

After visiting the Coffee Prince cafe, my sister and I headed to Hello Kitty cafe which is located just within Hongdae area. This place would surely be a paradise for Hello Kitty lovers out there- with all that pink and all that kitty! Every inch of this cafe is decorated Hello Kitty style and if you have plans to go there, prepare to be kittified! Hehehe! 🙂

It is without a doubt one of the most beloved cafes in Hongdae area. Don’t go there if you want to have a meal because only desserts and drinks are available. Some of the most popular items are Kitty waffles, mousse cakes and cafe latte sprinkled with cocoa powder in the shape of Hello Kitty. You can also buy some souvenirs like stuff toys, tumblers, shirts and accessories.

Hello Kitty cafe is open from 11:00 AM to 12 midnight.
For more inquiries, just call:
  • Hongdae branch: 02-334-6570
  • Sinchon branch: 02-312-6570
  • Daehangno branch: 02-744-6570

How to go there:

Take Seoul subway line 2 (green line) and get off at Hongdae (Honggik University) station. From Exit 9 walk straight towards the intersection. Turn left and walk up the street then turn at your second right. Keep looking at your left. You’ll find a narrow street and HKC is right there! ^_^

  1. Hi! I would like to ask if from the Trick Eye Museum to HKC to 1st Coffee Prince Shop, can be reached by foot? How about Edae shopping street, is it in another area? 🙂 TIA!

  2. Hi lanie. Ur story is great.
Now, can you help me. When u get ab nbi for spouse visa.I don’t want to change my maiden name. In NBI should my marital status still be single?

    • Of course your status should be married but you should follow the name you use in your passport. Actually I applied for NBI clearance just few months ago and I used my maiden name. 🙂
